Welcome to Jobrano Exotics & Persians!

Jobrano is a CFA registered cattery located in a small town centered between Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky.

My original cattery name was Howlz&Meowz. The "Howlz" was a part of my cattery name because at the time I started showing Exotics in 2003, I also raised Bloodhounds.

I retired from the Bloodhounds in 2004 and after several questions of... "do you also show dogs?", I decided to pick a new name for my cattery in 2008. Choosing a new name was easy and the decision for a new name came in just one day. I had no doubt that I wanted to pick a name that would reflect on the three most important people in my life... my three sons.... Joshua (Jo), Brandon (bra), & Noah (no).

My son Josh and Me

The three parts of my HEART: " Brandon, Noah & Joshua"

The main focus of my program is Whites although I do enjoy the occasional Calico, Bi-Color, and other Solid colors.

I have a very small program and focus on quality, not quantity. I breed for the purpose of improving the breed and exhibition but do occasionally have kittens available to loving pet homes.

I'm currently working with lines which include National and Regional Winning, Grand Champion, and Distinguished Merit Exotics and Persians.

I would like to thank all the breeders that have entrusted me with their wonderful Exotics & Persians and those who have helped me along the way.

White Owl Flies Into and Out of the Field

Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a buddha with wings, it was beautiful and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings – five feet apart – and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow –

And then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes, to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows – so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us –

as soft as feathers – that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow – that is nothing but light – scalding, aortal light – in which we are washed and washed out of our bones.
